At WalMart, we saw a spandex T-Shirt that was designed after Lance Armstrong's various corporate sponsorship badges and patches.

So...you're paying $15 for what other companies payed him to wear.

Buying a single "Dr. Pepper" T-shirt, that kind of makes sense. Paying to wear someone else's array of corporate sponsorships? That's strangely self-referential.

I would give anything for the classic:

"I'm a Pepper" Dr. Pepper shirt.

I want the Dr. Pepper leather jacket. Oooh, it's pepper-sexy.

"I'm not Lance, I just wear his clothes"... heh heh heh

Would be like buying a Ford Taurus, and having it repainted to match NASCAR number 48 or something. "I can't go as fast, but maybe I can look as good"?

You know, from some of the people I've seen shop at Wal-Mart... I'm not sure I'd want to see them in a spandex shirt. I'd especially feel that way if I were a marketing executive for one of Lance's sponsors.
