Co-worker: "Oh, here's a book about those things." [points at Wall of Spotted Hyenas in my cubicle.]
Me: "Yeah, I've got that one." [book is pinned to wall.]
Co-Worker: "I saw one of them things on the side of Lake Travis."
Me: "Um..."

Wow, I haven't seen you in a long time :) Hi! There's a few in San Antonio, but they don't let them out except when the SA zoo sponsors road cleanup day on I-35.

Damned dimensional portals. I think we can blame those wacky folks at the UT extradimensional travel and molecular science (teleportation devision) labs for these whimsical hyjinx. Next week, Lions!
