You're a mean one...Mr. Grinch...

So, some time over the weekend, someone snuck past and unscrewed the pretty christmas globe lights we had over the front bush of our house. Left the electrical cord, just took the bulb.

Sigh. This is almost as bad as the people stealing bibles from my mom's church bookstore.

Anyone willing to steal a bible, needs it.

You'd probably be surprised at the black market bible trade that seems to exist. I was.

What? Basic common courtesy and decency? What's that?

Yeah...it was probably more vandalism than theft, but...very frustrating. It makes one want to not put up lights.

that light bulb thing is *bizaare*.
got any roving hooligans? we had problems w/ them last spring break-- egging cars and breaking all the garden lights in the neighborhood.

as for the bibles, the bible is the best selling and the most shoplifted book in the world. ppl i've known that have worked as missionaries soon learned they had to pray w/ their eyes open b/c ppl would sneak into the chapel when they had their heads down and steal the bibles.

That doesn't work on so many levels :( I guess if someone steals a bible, they, de facto, *need* a bible. Or the collected essays of David Hume on ethics, but that's a little less trendy.

No hooligans, just the standard wandering neighborhood lunatic...
