Friday, friday, friday--I can't think that anybody I let read my LJ wouldn't be invited, and I can't think of anybody who doesn't read my LJ that I'd like to invite. Badger wants to open our doors to whatever freaks show up for All Hallows. I don't exactly know what's on the agenda. I personally am going to run out and buy "Willard" and possibly "Ghost Ship." If you want to come along, it would be nice if you 1) RSVP'd (a comment would work), 2) brought a bag of candy for the kiddies--and the trick-or-treaters, and 3) brought your favorite scary movies--except for Scary Movie, which I'm declaring anathema.

Love ya,
SL

btw- Willard, assuming you're speaking of the new one with Crispin Glover, is.... odd. As you'd expect.

Don't miss the video, directed and sung by Glover, on the special features. The commentary on that alone is worth it. In fact, the commentary is pretty good in general. And in some parts, Glover actually sounds kinda.. sane.

The movie itself feels kinda like an extended 'Tails from the Crypt' episode. The outtakes are a let down. Basically, the same scenes as in the movie, but with swearing. Apparently, the cut out all the 'f' words to maintain a PG-13 rating.

Oh, I love the new Willard, but Crispin Glover's just that cool. Pity about the out-takes, but I mostly fell in love with the almost Edward Gorey look and feel of the film. Plus, I love psychological breakdown films. I went out and rented the original Willard later that week, it was a bit disappointing, though there were a few homage shots that were kind of startling.

*sigh*
Well, I would come if I weren't having my own party. Um, and if I were within 100 miles. 200 tops.

I have been listening to "Little demons" all day. Did you ever get to it? I really like that "Mother dear" song, right now.

If it amuses you to do so. I have a bubble machine, maybe they could mate and produce offspring.

oh....dear...I have to be there for that.

Are the scary movies to be DVD only, or could I bring a wretched VHS that I think you would love?

No, no--I'm switching to DVDs personally, but some badness is only available on VHS. I'm sure if we could have figured out a way to play 8-tracks (and had 8-tracks) we would have. Bring whatever. We have "Grinchnight Comes to Whoville" on VHS...mmm, trippy!

Fog machines amuse me lots and lots. :) I'd love to try to recreate the 'AAAAGH I'M BLIND' room from the funhouse, but I'll concede to those who like thier air plain-flavored.

Sorry Spotty
I would love to be there, but life is conspiring more than usual.

Between mom's birthday, T being in the hospital and having promised to help a dear friend host a party in Carrolton, I don't think I can be there. Please enjoy some bad horror and good cheese for me, though.

okay..
10 replies and only 2 actual persons are going. Of course, that means person #2 will bring person #4 and so on.. I should be there. better than sitting at home on Halloween. Don't let John bite me again, though!

It's halloween, it's a good day for parking lot casualties. :) BTW, Sdocat, crash-space is available, as always!
