What to do, what to do...

I'm turning 29 in about a month, and I have NO idea what to do for my birthday.

I think I want to close with a showing of "Hot Chicks"--the DVD of dramatized Jack Chick tracts. I'm not too sure what to do before then.

The temptation is to maybe see if Gatti's would let me play the DVD in one of their pizza buffet viewing rooms, and then do something silly afterward.

There's a GattiTown down the road from me at the Y in Oak Hill, and there's one in Oak Hill. They do kid's birthday parties where you get a room to yourself, and I wouldn't be surprised if they could bring in a TV to show a movie. I'm guessing they wouldn't be too thrilled with a public showing on the big screen (too afraid they'd get sued).

I spoke to them *years* ago about this same thing (I think I wanted to have "Labyrinth" played wide screen. They're amenable to using the projector, but are really antsy about using it for a (c) production for the reason you mentioned--so presumably you could show home movies.

Whines is of course a big old AV geek and could probably set something up in the back yard, or maybe someone else's back yard, since we have a dog!

I vote for minigolf for the silly thing! There's a fairly good course up in the Round Rock area that John, Kristin, and I have gone to in the past.

Although there's something to be said for the horrid Peter Pan course, it's foul and unpleasant, but in a charming way :) 'Course, parking is terrible.
