I saw a stand of bluebonnets today! They're right on the corner of the road where I have to wait for a three-minute light every day. Yay! This is the first time of the year I've seen these pretty little flowers, and they make texas roadsides such a joy for the few weeks they're blooming.

Maus and I saw our first bluebonnets of the year yesterday. :) One thing I will miss from back home is the Richardson Wildflower Festival. Instead of paying for medians and large swaths of public lands to be mowed, they let the wildflowers grow. It was a riot of colours and I looked forward to it every year.

I am officially burning with jealousy. There is officially not one single green blade of grass in my entire city yet, and last night it snowed again. I have a couple of snow-hardy flowers that have peeked their brave little selves out already, but other than that the entire area is brown, white or the sludge color in between. It's quite dismal.
I may need to move to Texas now.

Don't move to Texas, the wildflowers aren't a good enough reason to make it. Besides, in three months, you'll be having green trees and lawns, and we'll be having dust and ash. There's balance :)
