Oopsie--

The Vice President for Operations sent out a letter asking for information on our process--that is, how products move from conception to publication, and what hands held them during that time. Since I help organize release schedules and request product code numbers, I figured that I was being involved in this. We were three letters in before I found out he was trying to reach Josh Williams.

Doh!

'Josh' is my #1 incorrect-name-that-I-get-called. I'm not sure why, it's not that popular, isn't it? Maybe it's the next runner up for people who aren't quite called John.

Weirdly, I get Joseph. Possibly Josef. A lot of little old ladies who have known me for YEARS call me Joseph. Sometimes my mother calls me Josef. This is atypical. She also calls my sister Jacob from time to time.

Their signalling behaviour, although quite complex and encompassing a wide variety of danger calls and mating displays, is not entirely without flaw. Encounters between previously unconnected packs may be confused by simple transpositions of sound.
