Current Music: Bad, very bad

Because all my lj-friends post lyrics...

God, in his infinite wisdom
Put Richard Nixon on this earth
To bring to us his heritage
One of priceless worth

A courageous leader
And a blessed man
Surely in God's plan

His heritage is from Heaven
And the magic from above
The rapture of music and melody
Of culture and of love

Yes, God, in his infinite wisdom
Put Richard Nixon on this earth
To bring to us his heritage
One of priceless worth

A leader with endless courage
A miracle you might say
And all who have met Nixon love him so
The genius of his way

God, in his infinite wisdom
Put Richard Nixon on this earth
To bring to us his heritage
One of priceless worth

--The American Song-Poem Anthology, "Richard Nixon"

I shall assume this song is intended sarcastically, and do not plan to hear any evidence to the contrary.

Ignore this if you are the_october--

No, I don't think so. This is a song-poem, a writer who believed he had a message paid a recording studio to set his piece to music because he had a genuine, important sentiment that needed to be expressed in song. It's possible that he didn't know what the future had in store. Unfortunately, the identity of the writer is lost to us.

: is now grooving to "I Like Yellow Things"
