Not for this hyena!

It's the Monday after Thanksgiving, and people have piled up a modest selection of pastry on the scavenger's table (the place where leftovers go to be instantly dispersed among the office jackals, vultures, and myself.)

There's a lovely, albeit storebought, apple pie. It's a pretty double-crust with four nice slits cut into its golden crust. It's also speckled with tiny circles of fuzzy blue and green eukaryotic life.

No thank you.

(finishes slice of pecan pie, specifically does not examine what he's eating)

Eep!
In the words of George Carlin

"Leftovers make you feel good twice. When you wrap them, you think "I'm saving money!" Then when you throw them away, you think "I'm saving my life!"

Eeeew!

I guess that's the downside of having a weekend follow a food-centric holiday.

It's a damn shame to waste pie, though...

(shrugs) I wasted a lot of pumpkin-pepper pie over the last few days. I think everyone jointly thought "better on the table than in my stomach," and left it alone.
