I am of mixed feelings about the site. To wit: I share many of Spotty's concerns, being inside the company, I have many more of my own that I can't tell you about lest I get fired, and you could start following the news at news.bbc.co.uk. Let's just say that I have very little control over how the site looks and feels and I have only slightly more control over content.
On the other hand, I am proud of the civic journalism model that I've convinced them to try - if they can get their act together.
On the third hand, I am only getting paid $3/hr less than I was doing data entry, and I don't have benifits - like I did when I was doing data entry.
