Brain's on shuffle...

"But we must hurry back, they will be expecting us in the Great Hall."

"Ah--but for just a taste--you have tempted me so."

"It is the very best butterbeer, three casks of it. Through the wall, there, I have been keeping it chilled in the space beneath Slytheryn House."

"Truly, it is delicious! Foamy and rich, my senses nearly leave me in bliss! Such butterbeer!"

"Truly. Please enjoy another pint."

"I shall, and another! But will they not be waiting for us in the Great Hall?"

"There is always time for Butterbeer," he said. And slowly, the light dimmed in the chamber, as he enjoyed the frothy beer.

"Always time, but perhaps not this time, friend." He turned, to see the lights of the nearby halls waning, as brick after brick sealed him with the casks.

"For the love of God, Dumbledore!"

"Yes, for the love of God."

OMG YES! It's been forever since I've read Poe, and here you are making me want to dig through my old books. Beautifully done reference.

Hahaha... that was beautiful and I'm going to direct everyone I know to your journal now. Or just everyone would get a Poe-HP reference... so, like... two people.

I was in the catacombs under Paris last month and was reminded of that story... creeeeepy.

Yeah, they were awesome. You enter through this little nondescript building, walk down 80 steps, then walk like, half a mile through the underground and then there's a bunch of death.. It's very odd. My favorite was a wall of bones with a design of skulls arranged in a heart. The creepiness factor goes up when cold drippiness from the ceiling drops down your back... but at least it was nice and cool down there.

Reminds me of a similar tour in Scotland.
