Fondue? Aging coyotes?
Okay, so, Whines turns slightly older in a few weeks. Who wants to join us for FONDUE?!? on Saturday, August 30?
Let's say the doors are going to open at our den at 6:00.
Want to participate? Any of the following would be welcome:
Fresh veggies in bite-sized pieces (carrots, brocolli, mushrooms, squash...)
Crusty, chewy bread in bite-sized pieces
Fresh fruit in bite-sized pieces (apples, strawberries, bananas)
Various meats (thin-sliced tuna, chicken, beef, shrimp, tiny little sausages and pre-cooked meatballs)
Cheap cheesecake isn't a bad option, either
Exotic dipping sauces would be welcome
Anyone that's ambitious enough to bring a fondue pot full o'stuff will be welcome, too! Or just has a fondue pot, I've got a few of 'em, but probably not enough. We have LOTS of fondue forks, but could use a few more fondue plates (these are frequent Goodwill finds, they usually are round plates with one central shallow area and 4-6 little "sub-dishes" around them.)
I'll try to have the following: One seafood soup fondue, one cheese fondue, one vegetarian fondue, and a dessert (white chocolate), and several sauces (probably wasabi, horseradish, Green Goddess, off-the-shelf thai peanut, and cream of balsamic.)
Let me know if you want to play, and particularly if you want to bring something!
