Well of course that's what it was.

The question is, *why* was Plague attacking a hedgehog in our back yard?

11:34: Operation Hedgehog Rescue a success. Hedgehog is now in recycling bin with a bit of water and some apricot. Life has returned to...normal...Whines is now speculating on black market value of a lightly used hedgehog.

Yeah, seeing him in the pot, apricots and raisins were ingredients in those stuffed peppers I made...hmmm...can't find any good recipes for hedgehog, tho.

Isn't it, though? Hedgehogs define cute, for a specific valence of cute.

That's our theory--according to the office hedgehog owner, she's pretty well-socialized and has clipped toenails, so that screams "pet."
