Oh holy wow...You got Tim Burton in my Sweeney! You got Sweeney in my Tim Burton!
Potential for being as undisputedly awesome as the genius who cast David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.

I similar transports of fabulousness...have you heard of Stardust? Written by Neil Gaiman, set design by Charles Vess, and full of fantastic.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486655/ go ogle the cast list.

Re: SquEEEEEE!!!!
I've heard a bit about it. That's certainly a star-studded cast, but there's no-one on there that's really on my celebrity crush list. Stardust is a Gaimen piece I haven't read yet, so I'm not familiar enough to get all worked up about it...but it's definately a Good Thing!

*goes and watches MirrorMask again*

And complete agreement on Telsa-Bowie. That was pretty amazing :)

Re: SquEEEEEE!!!!
I'm all about the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer...she's perfect for the role. Her Titania in Midsummer Night's Dream was pretty lovely, and it's entertaining that she's again in a production with Rupert Everett.

Stardust was the first Gaiman I read...liked it very much.

The witch is sort of a Norn+Baba Yaga+Maleficient. But strangely human for all that. I remember liking the villians in this a great deal.

Wicked cool! Although you can't beat Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett...I heart her.

Very sad--my mom saw Angela Lansbury in Sweenie Todd, and got her autograph on a playbill. Unfortunately, we had it in a gallery under bright sunlight, so it's j-u-s-t visible, like a Lansbury watermark...

Dude, I've known that for a year.

Yes, but you're further gone down the Broadway Freak road than I am!

Actually, I found out when I was on one of my online personals sites, and found a girl who apparently stalks Johnny Depp (who'll be playing Todd). She found out, posted in her profile that she was excited about it, we geeked out about musicals for a couple of posts, then stopped talking.

So while I AM indeed a bigger broadway freak then you, this proves I'm also a LONELY freak (otherwise, why would I be looking up stalkers online in Colorado to hit on?)

Aww, that's dubiously sweet :)
