Dream this morning -

Obviously, this won't work for urban planning...

I dreamed this morning that cars were equipped with a lever that caused the roads ahead to straighten out, so you could drive from any point A to point B in a perfectly straight line. It was interesting seeing the roads curving and shifting around.

I think there's probably a flaw in this arrangement, so I'm not going to the patent office right now...

It would be easier just to build a flying car like the one George Jetson has.

Probably. It's a pity life isn't CGI.

How do we know it isn't?

Because in a CGI world, people might have manly stubble and-or laugh lines, but no-one would have acne. Technically you could CGI skin blemishes, but who would?

Surely no sane person would, but why assume that the Great Programmer is sane? In fact, if we assume the opposite, Life on Earth suddenly makes a lot more sense ;?P

Integrate it with an Easy Button, and you have yourself a winner.

I still think there's a few problems with the basic plan.

I'm a little bit reminded of a screaming jerk on a bus I was taking once that insisted that in the last city he was at, every bus arrived just at the point he left the last one, and why wasn't Austin like that?!? *sigh*

Hello Harry Poterverse!

There was actually a commercial for this in the 1990s. Except the car chose to use the windy path instead of the straight path.
