Peculiar dream--

Actually, LOTS of peculiar dreams, but the only one I can remember clearly, I was at Maus and Tenar's wedding--but one in a large church, all decked out in red velvet.

The Pope was wandering around the front row, giggling, and dumping buckets of cold water on the front-row guests, explaining that it was a special blessing.

That's all she wrote...

A very large church where the interior was painted cream colour and the upholstery was red velvet?! EGADS! That sounds like the church I grew up attending. No Pope though, as it was a Presbyterian church. But I can almost place Fr. Rob, my priest, being there in full regalia. He can be a bit of a prankster but since Presbyterians sprinkle instead of dunking I don't know if he could get away with the buckets of water trick.

Hmm...I'm a little surprised, I though all Presbyterians kept a pope on hand, for the washing-up stuff.

Nah, that's the Episcopals. you know... Catholic Light all the cerempony but half the guilt. Episcopal was the Saturday night service with the nice old bearded guy, Father Rob. (I'm an Episcopagan don'cha' know - don't tell my Mom even if Oct. 11th is "Coming Out Day" according to one of my friend's journals.)
