Apparently having one of the first Saturns doesn't help you, some 14 years after the car's design. It's going to take perhaps a week for mr. mechanic to replace my window :(

Wow. That's really really weird - my Saturn is 7 years old, and they were able to swap out an admittedly more interchangeable window, within a couple of hours.

I'm going to a little crap maintenance shop down the road--it's kind of second-rate, but it's within walking distance of my office, almost. They don't have much in the way of stock, but stock on older vehicle parts is pretty much luck.

That's crap. If you can get away from work for a while, take it to Ace Discount Glass off of Spicewood. They'll give you an estimate over the phone for cost and time. They did me in less than a couple hours after my car was broken into (and I had them repair a window motor while they were at it, too).

In any case, you have my sympathy. :(

Yah, it is awful slow. They're ordering the glass, basically. I don't have a lot of respect for this mechanic, but I can walk from my office to his place, so I go there.

That is a major bummer >.>

Yah. And my car looked shabby enough without a big tarp hanging out the window. Pbfth.

Don't feel too bad, my mothers car was patched with a giant peice of cardboard from a Tampax box at one point.

That is CLASS, sir :)

WEll then, I guess there is no problem then?
Because obviously, a tarp is classier than a tampon cardboard box.

Maaaybe, but is it better at absorbing moisture?
Jul. 9th, 2008 03:37 pm (UTC)
I would hope so, the box does say Ultra absorbent

That's a strangely disturbing mood icon. Tenderheart Bear thinks you need some time in the Care Box...

It was actually kind of hard to find care bear pictures to match up with the negative emotions. And the mood set has a LOT of slots to fill.
