For those who wish to celebrate with me, I'll be running around downtown Austin most of that day. My vague schedule, subject to change--
Saturday, March 6:
11:30: Book People, corner of 6th and Lamar, where that fine upstanding independent bookstore will be having a "Dr. Seuss's Birthday Party" event, which may prove to be exceptionally boring. I don't know, I've never been to a Dr. Seuss's Birthday Party.
12:30: Lunch at Whole Foods Cafe, next door.
1:15-ish: Tailgate party, probably on the second floor of the Book People parking garage. Look for the dusty blue truck marked "I Be Best Troll." It's kinda hard to miss. There will be cake, but, horrors, I will probably buy it. Please don't be disappointed in me.
2:00-ish: Texas Memorial Museum's Science Fair, running all day until 5:00. If this event proves to be exceptionally lame, we may move to the Bob Bullock museum, which I haven't seen yet.
I'm going to call an early day at 5:00 or 5:30 or so, as I have some evening plans, but Austin's been very obliging about providing some fun stuff to do this Saturday afternoon!
If you want to get ahold of me, drop me an e-mail (spottylogic(at)occultmail.com) and I'll happily drop you my celphone number.
Let me know how much cake I should pick up! :) Love ya!
