*Grumble* grumble.

Furry con hospitality suite cookware limited to crock pots. How can I overachieve with crock-pots?

Does anybody have a crock-pot they'd be willing to loan?

Sigh. Crock-pots.

(Reaches for multiple crock-pot cookbooks. Hmm--poissons et morceaux dans un pot de cruche?

What's the max temp you can get in a crock pot.
If it's high enough you might be able to transmute some dutch oven recipes.

I'll have to look--it's high enough to burn cheese, but not really high enough to bake something through. I could *probably* work out a pot pie recipe, though!

If you pre-cooked all the meat you could probabaly make a good jambalya.

Jambalaya made in a crock pot *is* really good....pretty much anything that you would cook on a stove top for more than 20 minutes can be made to work in a crock pot. If you need any recipie ideas, I've cooked in crock pots since I was old enough to reach the counter (my mom thought it was safer than letting me use the stove when I started staying home by myself over summer vacation). Good luck!

I have a virgin croc-pot that would be happy to be used. :)

I've got one too. Pure as the driven snow, and flippin' huge.

Coolness, thanks for all the crock pot offers :) Let me wait a day or so for the damn furries to respond, since they're co-hosting the hospitality suite with me (any long-term friends and acquaintances will know I'm not the best co-host, so I figure I should at *least* humor them by letting them bring me their dishes.

I dunno, though. I'm starting to feel reduced to hot dogs.

What an odd phrase, "reduced to hot dogs."

Wren, any (relatively cheap, I'm not getting reimbursed for this!) crock recipies you'd be willing to share, I'd love to borrow. Sam--if it's a big crock pot, that might be really useful.

(sighs, puts electric wok on the back shelf. Someday, my love...)
