Okay, taking this too seriously.

I spent about an hour, altogether, fretting about the furry con cooking situation. When it comes to food, I'm an overachiever.

No, really!

So I had a very complicated dream that had like three hours of subjective dream-time about trying, and failing, repeatedly, to make a chicken pot pie in a crock pot.

I'm going to have to accept that I'll be emptying cheezoid into one crock pot, and reheating tragic little hot-dogs, bobbing obscenely in their hot water bath in crock pot number two. This depresses me. It'll be cheaper, though.

I'm captivated by the phrase 'bobbing obscenely'. That works for me. :)

Sorry about the croc situation. :/

I've found that pale pink hot dogs floating like dead salmon provide their own imagery, and don't really need to be dolled up with words. Just mustard and relish.

Wow. Having images like that stuck in my mind really makes me wonder why I ever became a vegetarian :)

So, errr... what's the difference between an alligator and a crock pot?

Geographical distribution.

Ahh, the sickly sweet taste and slightly burnt smell of culinary mediocrity. Think of it this way... It's a con. Since odor defines the larger portion of taste, the predominant flavor of any food will be con-attendee.

I'm just poking fun, really. I cook too, so I feel some of your frustration. *hugs*

Oh, blurk. You paint a prettier picture than I do.

Well, more like pork before dorks

That was rude, but I thought it would sound funny. I wouldn't actually say that about the furs, and these are dubious hot dogs at best--as Terry Pratchett said, "Well, they're definately pig. Maybe pork."

Anyway, I'm not feeding people for *them,* this is strictly an Alpha Cook thing :)
