Meme rambling

Ran my name through a "Who's In Your Harry Potter Slash Fic" meme. Results: Buckbeak, Lucius Malfoy, Sirius Black and Professor McGonnigal. If the media finds out about this, my life is over, and I have no idea how my poor mother will react.

It took three different configurations of capitalizations and spacing to get that combination, and I had to spell "logic" with a 'k.' Meme should allow for more Ravenclaw characters.

Oh, that's right, there aren't any Ravenclaw characters.

(snicker) This may be the least lucid day I've had in weeks.

I did like the data fields:
Your Name Is: _____
Your Hogwarts House Is (Hufflepuff)(Ravenclaw)(Slitherin)(Griffendor)
Your Age Is: _____
Your [sic] Gedner Is: (Male)(Female)(Irrellevant)
Your favorite color is: ____

It really gets down to the basic purity of slash fic. As does the essential randomness of the meme. And the peculiar necessity of having one nonsentient creature involved.

Anyway, I always thought Ravenclaw was the sexiest house.

A man of intelligence and education, clearly.

Re: HP
Eh, I'm personally in all likely a Hufflepuff. Slitherin for the ambitious, Ravenclaw for the wise, Griffendor for the brave, Hufflepuff for...all the rest. Long live the great badger of mediocrity!

Re: HP
There'll be no Hufflepuff-bashing on my watch! Hufflepuffs are the determined ones, and if you don't think determination can be scary...

*sigh* Never mind me. I'm still mourning a long-dormant, probably-defunct Potterverse RP where I played a very nasty Hufflepuff Death Eater.

(and pssst, it's Slytherin, not "Slitherin")

Re: HP
Catch me when I'm lucid for the typos. I've been having to retype everything two or three times today. The only button I've successfully hit was the snooze bar.

I have a Slytherin T-Shirt, I can spell it upside-down :)

Re: HP
I better not tell you how much Slytherin (and Ravenclaw, and HP in general) stuff I have, you'll think I'm even more insane! But my favorite is still my Coed Naked Quidditch shirt. When I go see PoA, I'm so wearing it!

Re: HP
I'd love to ge my hands on more Slytherin stuff! My ex gave me a Slytherin house banner (it's over the door of my bedroom) and a pair of Slytherin v. Griffendor socks, they're very cute, but made for wee small feet, not size 10s, just as well, really.

My mother gets upset when I wear my Slyterin 'T' to church, though.

Re: HP
I've got the Slyth and the Ravenclaw banners (hanging over my bed) Slytherin and Ravenclaw coffee mugs, a Hogwarts soup bowl, backpack, poster, and pillow, a pre-movies Snape Christmas tree ornament, a Slytherin tee, the aforementioned Quidditch tee, a Gryffindor tee for my great big stuffed animal (a white tiger) and also a printout of some fanart of Snape taking a bubble bath.

And Harry Potter shampoo and foaming handwash.

I'm a great big geek. And before you ask... yes I have written HP slash :)

Actually, it was the rather large number of HP fic communities you were subscribed to that set me off on that (probably fictional) meme diatribe. I'm sure that meme exists, I've seen similer :)

So I've fueled rants from you and Leslie Cochran. It's a start.

And I'm pretty sure I've seen a meme like that. I'm something of a quiz/meme whore, and sometimes when I'm desperately bored I go down the lists on MemeGen and QwickQuiz and Quizilla trying to distract myself.

More of a ramble than a rant. Leslie? Does Leslie have a livejournal? That'd be something else...

I think I saw "Who's In your Harry Potter Threesome" (my results were Crookshanks, Draco Malfoy and Sirius Black)

If Leslie has a LJ I haven't seen it. He just worked me into one of his streetcorner diatribes a few years ago when I was walking down Congress.

Crookshanks and Sirius Black in the same bed is a scary, scary idea.

I did read a Discworld crossover that was Greebo/McGonagall once...

Oh, unclean. I'm going to have to demand an apology on that one :)
May. 10th, 2004 01:59 pm (UTC)
From me or the author?

All parties involved.

Thank you. I'm glad they make those.

Re: HP
To see what's at the bottom of a cliff --

A Griffindor will jump off a cliff;
A Slytherin will push someone else off;
A Hufflepuff will call on two hundred other Hufflepuff's, and they will carve a staircase;
and a Ravenclaw will find a magic carpet.

My decidedly Ravenclaw bias shows.

Wasn't Cho in Ravenclaw?

I know there are something like two Ravenclaw characters mentioned--though my memory's so bad, and they tend to be bit characters, I can't quite remember.

I do remember we killed the last scion of hufflepuff. Take that, badgers!
