Babble, babble

Today, according to The Furry Book of Days, it's "Let it Go Day." Today, find something you've been holding onto too long, and just cut it from your life. You'll be glad you did. You'll travel a bit lighter emotionally.

It's also "Take your Dog to Work Day."

I think these should be combined into "Take Your Dog to Work and Let It Go Day." That would be a fun event. Except they would raid the coffee pot and spill the non-dairy creamer, and then there would be little white paw-prints everywhere. Which would suck, because non-dairy creamer does not come out of fabric without some serious effort, it turns into a substance not unlike casien glue, and it's wasteful besides, as the non-dairy creamer industry is one of the primary consumers of the Earth's petrolium supplies.

It's also Bullwhacking day.

In Kansas.

People in Kansas have strange hobbies.

I bet the liquid hand sanitizer people make a fortune.

That last line is just plain WRONG. Eww!

I wish I'd thought of it...

I've been thinking of Bullwhacking Day on and off for about a year (because of that calendar project, I swear). I've had time to come up with the off-hand quips.

I rewrote that 'graf four times. It still makes me look weird.

I have a macro set up now, because you make me laugh so often:

Form compliments? It cheapens the experience, somehow.
:has a small appliance to massage his ego.

Well, it's not REALLY a macro. It's just phrased that way to demonstrate how consistenly you make me laugh so hard I snort milk. (This is inconvenient and particularly mystifying when I haven't had any milk.)

Actually, the United States first annual "Take your dog to work day" is tomorrow (June 25th). Of course if I observed the holiday correctly, it would just mean that I got fired one day later. That and I don't have a dog :)

We'll just set Badger up with a choke-chain collar. He'll enjoy it, it'll do him good to get out a bit, and he hardly ever pees on things.

Thankfully, he also hardly ever reads my LJ :)

*tries to keep the laughing down for the benefit of the co-workers* :)

I wonder if there are any cards for bullwhacking day. Oh, I hope so. I don't like my grandmother very much, and she complains that I don't write...

"No, seriously, boss, it's 'Take your dog to work' day! Honest, look, it's on this furry calendar...hmm? Um, yeah, this is one of my bookmarks...what, what, HEY, that's my DESK..."

I'm also gravely disappointed that you failed to apprise us all of 'Shout Fudge at Cobras in North America' day back on the second.

Bah. I was desperate for something funny today.

"Wait! don't take my computer! It's got my hyenas on it!"
